Hello, and thanks for checking out my bio. I am a "furry", which for me means I have a major interest and fascination with anthropomorphic animal characters. The primary purpose of my journal here is to keep in touch with the furry community, and log my furry lifestyle. I've been actively pursuing the "furry fandom" since November 2006, although, looking back, I've been interested in cute cartoon animal characters at various points throughout my life. They are very appealing to me. Throughout the years growing up there have been numerous animal TV characters I liked, including dogs, cats, horses, and reindeer, just to name a few. Hanna-Barbera did a bunch of these. I not only loved these characters, I wished I could actually be them. So please, when you imagine my appearance, think of me as a furry, friendly, anthropomorphic lion with a big mane. My name is Leostarr.
My furry lifestyle includes following fursuiters, attending furry conventions, attending local meets, enjoying anthro-art and related comics, writing and drawing, and fantasizing about Leostarr lion in an imaginary world (if I appear to be staring into space absent-mindedly, I'm probably doing just that). I will eventually become a fursuiter myself (to bring my character to life) after that first suit is created.
I love lions. They're so... good-looking. I'd love to cuddle a lion sometime with his big fluffy mane!

As I eluded to earlier, Leostarr is an anthropomorphic lion character of my own creation, whose story is currently in development (mostly in my head at this point). I am thinking about trying to do his story as a graphic novel, but it depends on how difficult that turns out to be. No doubt I will have to do all the artwork myself, excepting possibly the cover, because I don't have the $$ to commission my favorite artists to do all that work for me. But, we shall see.
Note that I have since found that there is another Leostar in the furry fandom (by the name of Leostar Echidna), but he is a different species and his name is spelled with one "R", mine is with two "RR"s. So if you recognize the name, just make sure you have the right Leo!
I am also very fond of horses. Beautiful animals. I've been hanging out with them the past few years, and go riding semi-regularly. Yes, that is me in the picture brushing Smoke's butt! :)

Again, this journal logs my furry lifestyle. Real life stuff is generally only included if it has relevance to furry things, such as horseback riding, pets, zoo visits, etc. Of course, I always reserve the right to throw something RL in at any time, but most times I will not. Non-furry related entries will be denoted by the use of my "hooded cloak & chain mail" avatar.
